Nebula credit, plans and top-ups

Nebula is prepaid: a plan brings credit every month, top-ups add more, and every live job reserves its credit before it runs.

Nebula is prepaid. You buy credit first, and jobs spend it.

Plans

Each plan is a monthly subscription that brings credit every month. Unused plan credit rolls over for one month, then lapses. Pro jobs go ahead of Starter jobs in the queue, and Scale jobs go first, with support. You can upgrade at any time: you pay the difference for the rest of the period, and you get the extra credit for the rest of the period at once. A downgrade takes effect at once, with no refund for the current period, and your next renewal is at the lower price. A card stays on file for every plan.

Top-ups

Buy a top-up any time, on the Nebula page, the API or the MCP server: C$25, C$100 (5% extra credit) or C$500 (10% extra credit). It is charged to your card on file at once. Top-up credit does not lapse.

Every job reserves its credit first

  1. Estimate. We count the inputs (tokens, items, audio minutes, images) and price them at the model's rate.
  2. Reserve. When you confirm, the estimate plus a quarter is set aside from your credit. The job does not start until it is.
  3. Measure. Before any shard runs, we count the batch exactly with the model's own tokenizer. If it would cost more than you reserved, the batch pauses and we ask for more credit. Add a top-up, then confirm again to resume it.
  4. Settle. When the job finishes, it spends what it cost, never more than the reservation, and the rest goes back to your credit. A failed or cancelled job gives all of it back.

When your credit is short

By default the job waits, and you can buy a top-up or upgrade your plan. Two settings change that, both on the Nebula page:

  • Auto top-up. Choose a pack and a monthly cap of at least one pack. When you confirm a job that is short, the pack is bought by itself, as long as it stays under the cap.
  • Overage. Off unless you turn it on, and only while your account is in good standing (an active plan and no failed payment in the last 90 days). A job may then go up to a tenth past your credit. You pay that part at your next renewal, or by card at once, as you choose.

Your credit never goes below nought without overage, and never more than that tenth with it.

Tax and receipts

Plan prices are before tax, and sales tax is added to your plan invoice where it applies. Every purchase is listed on the Nebula page.

Spend limit

Your team's monthly limit counts finished jobs plus the most each waiting or running job can cost. Set it on the Nebula page.
